On January 29, 2026, ARKS successfully held its fourth annual Chinese New Year Celebration. We were deeply honoured to welcome distinguished guests, including representatives from the Chinese Embassy, the Bahraini government, Bahrain’s higher education institutions, the Chinese community, and Chinese companies in Bahrain.
As the only school offering a mandatory Mandarin programme from Reception to Year 9, this celebration fully reflected the school’s long-term commitment and dedication to language learning and intercultural understanding. The event was jointly organized by ARKS Mandarin Department and the Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain, further highlighting the long-standing and solid partnership between the two institutions.
The celebration featured an art exhibition area and cultural experience zones, where students confidently shared their creativity, learning achievements, and understanding of Chinese traditions. In one of the cultural experience zones, students took part in making dumplings. Special thanks to David’s Stir Fry restaurant for its support, which provided students with a valuable and authentic intercultural learning experience. The event was truly meaningful and strongly reflected ARKS’ student-centered approach.
Chinese New Year is a time to celebrate family, respect, and new beginnings, and we are proud to integrate these values to life through education and cultural exchange, helping students grow into global citizens with an international perspective and strong intercultural understanding.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners, guests, teachers, parents, and students for making this celebration so special.
Happy Chinese New Year!
