Abdulrahman Kanoo School (ARKS) celebrated International Peace today, as a school community. Both staff and students at ARKS came together to honor this important United Nations-recognised day. The day falls in line with our late Founders core values and our schools’ new values of respect, diversity and kindness. The event featured a variety of special activities, including a vibrant art competition where creativity flourished. Participants expressed their visions of peace through their artwork, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. The day served as a reminder of the importance of peace and unity in our lives.
The day is important to highlight as it is also included in the Kingdom’s 2030 vision of promoting awareness, encouraging dialogue, inspiring action, fostering unity and educating future generations. We believe that at ARKS, celebrating Peace Day, individuals and communities reaffirm their commitment to building a more peaceful and just society.
Speaking on the event- Lower Secondary Art & Design Ms. Fatema Seddiq “Our school celebrated Peace Day by hosting an art competition. We invited all students to express their vision of peace through drawing. That challenged students to express their ideas about peace through their artwork. Using different art styles, students created pieces that were both visually stunning and thought provoking. We came together through art and spread a message of peace, understanding, and kindness”.
